Forty five players from around the world will gather next week for the maiden edition of the Tel Aviv Tennis Open, the first ever Gay and Lesbian Tennis Alliance (GLTA) event in the history of the Middle East! (31 March – 2 April 2016)
The event is euanized by Madpoint with the support of the Municipality of Tel Aviv, the Isreali Embassy in Spain and Arcadia Hotels. The team behind the project also wish acknowledge the help and assistance received from the Capital Tennis Association (Washington DC). We really want to say a big THANK YOU to all the entities and individuals who are making this project a wonderful reality.
The Mayor of Tel Aviv will host of the official reception for the players at the City Hall roof on wednesday 30 (6PM). The next day (Thursday 31, 9 AM) the tennis action will start at the courts of the Hadar Yosef Tennis Center. This venue and its 12 hard courts will be see the battles for the final trophies in the four categories of the tournament (OPEN, A, B and C/D) The winners presetnation is scheduled for Saturday 2sd of April at 3PM (tentative).
By the way…have you ever played in a «smart court» that measures your service and gives you extra information about your game? Well, this tournament might be your first time then…
Beyonf the tennis, the social plans includes, apart from the offcial welcome reception, a dinner at The blue roster restaurant on Thursday and a great party at Disco Evita on friday night with a complimentary glass of wine or a beer for all the registered participants!!

PS: IMPORTANT INFORMATION: no public transport runs in Tel Aviv from Friday 4PM until Saturday at 8PM. The event will cover the tennis-related taxis to foreign players within the mentioned slot of time.
